Henriot Millésime 2008

Last week I (Gert Crum) was at the Dutch launch of the Henriot Cuvée Hemera 2005 – about that later. The Henriot Millésime 2008 was also served for that occasion. What an excellent and beautiful wine.

Assembly 50 percent chardonnay and 50 percent pinot noir from premiers and grands crus only. Eight years “sur lattes”. Linden blossom and hawthorn. Also lots of fruit. Fine mousse and at the same time a powerful wine with a lot of length. Extremely harmonious.

Must be included quickly in my i-Book ‘Champagne – The Future Uncorked’.

Thank you Paul Frankhuizen from Wijnkoperij De Lange, the exclusive importer for the Netherlands. And thank you restaurant De Bokkedoorns in Overveen.
